Former professional athlete skateboarding & Mountain Bike in the nineties and then joined the Peace Corps and transitioned into the State Dept as foreign service officer working for the OSCE in the former Yugoslavia for many years and returned to the US in 2001. Worked as a journalist/photojournalist winning many SPJ awards and accolades among others while and abiding by a very strict set of personal and professional objective, moral and ethical, principles and standards for the AP, AFP, Scranton Times/Balt CityPaper, several Tribune owned publications, Washing Post, Examiner, Johns Hopkins, etc. I donate much of my time working with the Forestry Service/Parks & Recreation and personally administer various individual scholarships. But otherwise I am on an extended sabbatical working with and training a 7-month old Malinois or Belgian Shepherd as a Service Dog
