Getting started

What is Let's Play Tennis and Pickleball?

We help players find tennis and pickleball partners, discover courts and connect with local coaches and racket stringers. Members can organize clubs and competitions, arrange games, track their playing history and save equipment. Visitors can explore our directories, articles and playing tools.

Is membership free?

Creating a member account is free. Coach and stringer listings and inquiry forwarding are also free. A coach, stringer, court operator or event organizer may charge for their own services or activities; confirm those costs directly before making arrangements.

Do I need an account to use the website?

You can browse public directories, read the blog, explore equipment and use the public tools without signing in. You need an account to contact players, manage your profile, join or organize member activities, save equipment, suggest court updates or submit coach and stringer reviews. Lesson and stringing inquiries do not require an account.

Does the site support both tennis and pickleball?

Yes. Choose your sport when searching for players and courts. Your tennis and pickleball profiles have separate skill and playing information. The Tools page includes options for both sports, including scorekeepers, skill estimators and equipment guidance.

Can beginners join, or is this only for competitive players?

Beginners, recreational players and experienced competitors are welcome. Explain your experience and goals in your profile, use the skill filters and agree on a suitable format with your partner. You can also inquire about lessons through the coach directory.

Is the service limited to the United States?

No. Use the country selector to explore listings in your area. Directory coverage depends on available records and community contributions, so some places will have more listings than others. Live Google court results are available only where the integration is enabled.

Accounts and signing in

How do I create an account?

Use Sign Up, enter your details and follow the email verification instructions. You can also use the Google sign-in option when available. Then complete your location, photo, sport profiles and weekly availability in My Account.

Can I use my account from the previous website?

Try signing in with the email address you used before. Legacy US and UK account information has been imported into the new app. If you cannot access your account, use password recovery or contact support with your original email address. Avoid creating a second account before checking your existing one.

What happens if my old account is inactive?

An inactive account can be re-enabled when its owner returns through the supported sign-in flow. Google sign-in can reactivate an existing account, and password recovery is available to inactive users. If access is still blocked, contact support rather than opening a duplicate account.

Can Google sign-in use my existing membership?

Yes. A verified Google email can match your existing member email even if the display names differ. Use the Google account with the same email as your membership. If Google sign-in fails, try email/password recovery and contact support with the error message; never send us your password.

Why do I need to verify my email?

Email verification helps protect member communications and confirms that you can receive account messages. Some member actions require verification. Check your spam folder and use the resend option if the verification message has not arrived.

What should I do if I forgot my password?

Choose Forgot your password on the login screen and enter your account email. Follow the reset link in the email. If it does not arrive, check spam and contact support. For Google sign-in, also check that you are using the correct Google account.

How do I update my email, password or notification preferences?

Use the account settings available from your personal dashboard. Keep your email and phone current and choose your notification preferences. Phone notifications depend on your consent and the site's configured SMS service; entering a phone number alone does not mean you opted in.

Why does the location default to the wrong city?

The site may suggest a location based on your internet connection. VPNs, mobile networks and internet providers can make that estimate inaccurate. Select your country and type your city or postal code in the search form. Set your own playing location in My Account; an IP estimate is not a precise home address.

Profiles, partners and invitations

How do I find someone to play with?

Open Find Players, choose tennis or pickleball, and search by location and available filters. Review a player's skill, playing preferences and availability. Sign in, complete any required verification and send a friendly play request with a suggested time and court.

How do I add someone to my playing contacts?

Find the member through player search and use the contact or playing-partner action available on their profile. Manage saved partners from your account sidebar. This replaces the old site's Add to My Contact workflow; use the new account tools rather than old profile-edit links.

Why is a player missing when I try to arrange or record a match?

Check that you have the right account, sport and playing contact. The member may have a private profile, may not accept invitations, or may no longer be available. Review your Playing partners list before selecting participants. Club organizers can also use club roster guests without requiring them to create website accounts.

How do I enter my weekly availability?

Open My Account and the Profile & availability section. Select the days and time periods when you usually play and add helpful notes. Availability describes your preferences; agree on the exact date, time, time zone and court with your partner before traveling.

Can I have separate tennis and pickleball skill levels?

Yes. Edit each sport profile independently, including your skill level, preferred formats and playing notes. You can enable the sports you play without presenting the same rating for both.

How can I upload a profile photo from my phone?

Use the photo-upload controls in your account or profile settings. On a supported mobile device you can choose an existing image or take a new photo. Allow camera access when prompted, choose a clear image and save your changes.

How do I pause invitations or hide my profile?

In My Account, turn off Accept invitations for the relevant sport or change its Visibility to Private. A private sport profile is hidden from the public player finder. This updates the legacy Public/Private profile setting. Existing conversations and competition records are separate; use blocking controls if you need to stop contact from a specific member.

Does accepting a play request book a court?

No. An invitation helps you agree on a game. Arrange any required court reservation with the facility and confirm the details directly with the other player. Check access rules, fees and weather before you go.

How do I report or block unwanted contact?

Use the block and report controls in member communications where available. Send support the relevant page or conversation details if you need assistance. Blocking is useful for unwanted contact; contact local emergency services if there is an immediate safety issue.

Courts and places to play

How do I find tennis or pickleball courts?

Use Find Courts, select your sport and country, and enter a city or postal code. Apply the facility, access and lighting filters where available. Open a court's details to view its map and the information contributed to our directory.

Why do court results come from both the directory and Google Maps?

Our directory can contain useful court-specific details, while live Google results can help discover more nearby places. Matching results are combined where identified so our directory information remains available. The results identify their source and show Google attribution for Google content.

Does a Google result guarantee that a place has pickleball courts?

No. A search can return a recreation facility or another nearby place whose court details are incomplete. Check its website or call the facility to confirm the sport, number of courts, permanent or portable nets, access and playing hours.

What do shared and converted courts mean?

A shared facility supports more than one sport. A converted or lined court may use a tennis surface for pickleball at certain times and may require portable nets. Confirm the layout, net availability and sport-specific schedule with the operator.

Why are some court details missing or different?

Directory contributions and Google information may have different update dates and levels of detail. A missing value means the detail is not confirmed, rather than that a facility lacks it. Check with the operator for current hours, fees, reservations and accessibility.

How can I correct a court or add a missing one?

Sign in and use Suggest an update or Add a court. Provide the location and the details you know. Updates are queued for admin review before publication. If the place is not already in our directory, a court record can be created as part of the review workflow.

Can I reserve a court through the website?

The court finder helps you discover facilities and their details. Follow the facility's own booking process for reservations and payment. A court listing or map does not itself reserve playing time.

Coaches, lessons and racket stringers

How do I inquire about coaching lessons?

Find a coach in the Coaches directory, open their profile and submit a lesson inquiry with your goals and contact details. No member login is required. We review and forward the inquiry to the coach so they can discuss lessons directly with you.

Is a coach listing or lesson inquiry free?

Yes. Coaches can list their profile for free, and we forward lesson inquiries free of charge. Lessons themselves may have a fee set by the coach. Ask about rates, location, cancellation arrangements and availability before booking.

How can I find a tennis racket stringer?

Browse the Stringers directory by location and service. Use a provider's inquiry form to ask about string choices, tension, pricing, pickup and turnaround. We review and forward the inquiry free of charge; you do not need to sign in to inquire.

What should I include in a stringing inquiry?

Include your racket model, preferred string and tension if known, playing style, desired turnaround and contact details. If you are unsure, explain what you want to improve. The String Setup Advisor can help you prepare questions for the stringer.

How do coaches and stringers add or claim a profile?

Sign in and choose the free listing action on the relevant directory page. If a listing already represents you, open it and request ownership or suggest an update instead of submitting a duplicate. Our team can review the association with your member account.

What do Community listing and Availability unconfirmed mean?

A Community listing may not yet be managed by a linked member account. Availability unconfirmed means current availability has not been confirmed. Neither label is a judgment of a provider's quality. Send an inquiry to ask about their services and current openings.

How can I tell whether my inquiry was forwarded or answered?

Where your member inquiry history is available, check its status from your account. Our team tracks review, forwarding and responses recorded in the workflow. A forwarded inquiry does not guarantee an answer, and a reply sent directly outside the site may not appear until it is recorded. Contact support if you need help following up.

Can I leave a coach or stringer review?

Logged-in members can submit a simple five-star rating and review through the provider's profile. Describe your own experience clearly and respectfully. Reviews are subject to review before public display; contact support about a mistake or inappropriate review.

Clubs and organizing play

Can I create a club?

Yes. Sign in, open My clubs and choose the create-club action. Enter the club's basic information, location and primary court, and choose whether it is public or private. Member-created clubs do not need a separate publication approval step.

What is the difference between a public and a private club?

A public club can appear in the club finder. A private club is not searchable by other members; its workspace is available to authorized club members and organizers. Club privacy is separate from your personal player-profile visibility.

How do I set the club's location and primary court?

Choose the country, enter the postal code and use the available location lookup. Select a primary court to fill the court address information, then check the details before saving. Club organizers can edit the primary court later from the club workspace.

Can I add club members who do not have website accounts?

Yes. Organizers can add named guests to the club roster and classify people as regular, substitute or associate members. An optional email helps associate a roster entry with an existing account. Guests can join the website later; you do not need to create an account on their behalf.

What if a club member uses an alias?

A club display name can differ from the member's account name. When an organizer supplies a matching email, the roster entry can be associated with the member account without requiring the names to match. Check the email carefully to avoid linking the wrong person.

Are members attached to the club, a series, a ladder or a league?

The club roster is the shared pool. Organizers can select people from that pool for specific activities. In the timed doubles league workflow, select the players for each session rather than requiring a season-wide roster upfront. A new session guest can also be added to the club roster.

Should I create a recurring series, a ladder or a league?

A recurring series organizes repeated playing sessions, with scheduling and attendance. A ladder maintains a ranking that changes through its challenge or match rules. A league groups results into a season with a scoring system and standings. Choose the activity that matches how your group plays.

What can the club organizer workspace manage?

Organizers can manage recurring sessions, attendance and waitlists, prepare rotating doubles pairings and assign courts. Review each session's roster and schedule, then adjust pairings and court assignments to suit your group before play.

Can the round-robin and ladder generator save results to a club?

The public generator helps you prepare a schedule or ladder. Saving or managing member and club activities requires sign-in and the appropriate club permissions. Treat a generated schedule as a starting point; review court capacity, player availability and repeat pairings.

Leagues, scores and playing history

Can a league use custom win, draw and loss points?

The club timed doubles league supports configurable points for wins, draws and losses, season dates and timed sessions. Organizers can select the session roster, enter team pairings and scores, then finalize the session to update standings.

How are timed doubles results entered?

Enter each team's games won at the end of the timed set. The higher score wins even if the set did not finish: 5–4 is a win, while 3–3 is a draw. Leave an unplayed score blank. The configured points are awarded to each player based on the set outcome.

Are Games Won and Win Rate based on sets or individual games?

In the club timed doubles standings, Games Won and Games Lost are totals of individual tennis games from the recorded set scores. Win rate is games won divided by games won plus games lost. Season points are calculated separately using the configured set-result points.

How is a tied season decided?

The timed doubles league ranks players by points, then by their game winning rate when points are tied. If those measures remain equal, players can share the top position. Accurate set scores are needed for a meaningful winning-rate tie-break.

Can an organizer correct a finalized score?

Yes. An authorized club organizer can correct a finalized result, provide the required correction information and save it. The standings are recalculated, and an audit history preserves the correction. Check the teams and score carefully before finalizing.

Can I see a player's history across seasons?

The club league player history combines recorded seasons for the same roster identity. Organizers should maintain one roster entry per person and link the right member account where possible so the person's games and winning rate remain connected over time.

How do personal matches differ from club league results?

Personal match records and diary entries belong to your playing history. Member participants may need to confirm a personal result before it counts in shared statistics. Club league standings use the organizer's recorded and finalized session results. Imported records remain historical rather than newly confirmed matches.

Equipment, tools and learning

What can I do with the racket and paddle finders?

Explore the Racket finder and Paddle finder, filter the available models and compare specifications. The buying guides explain relevant trade-offs. Models and specifications may differ by year and variant; check the exact product with the manufacturer or seller before buying.

Can I save equipment to my account?

Sign in and use the available save or equipment-setup controls. Your dashboard's My equipment area helps you keep track of setups and items you are considering. Saving a product does not place an order or reserve stock.

What does the String Setup Advisor do?

The String Setup Advisor combines string-type guidance with a starting tension recommendation based on your setup and preferences. Use it to discuss options with a stringer and stay within your racket's recommended range. It is a starting point for experimenting with comfort, control and feel.

Are the tennis and pickleball skill estimators official ratings?

No. The questionnaires provide an estimated level to help you describe your play and find suitable partners. They do not issue an official NTRP, UTR or sanctioned pickleball rating. Competition organizers may require their own rating or eligibility process.

How do the courtside scorekeepers work?

Open the tennis or pickleball scorekeeper on your phone or tablet, set up the game and tap to record points. They offer an undo option and sport-specific scoring. Device storage can retain progress in the same browser; clearing browser data or changing devices can remove it. They do not automatically publish an official match result.

Do full screen and keep screen awake work on every device?

These controls depend on your browser and device. Screen wake lock generally requires a supported browser and secure connection and may stop when the tab is hidden or power settings intervene. If unavailable, use your device's normal display and screen-timeout settings.

Where can I learn pickleball basics and find all the tools?

Visit Learn pickleball for introductory guidance and the Tools hub for scorekeepers, skill estimators, equipment advisors and the round-robin and ladder generator. The Blog provides articles about playing, equipment and the community.

Privacy, notifications and support

What information is visible to other players?

Your visibility settings control whether a sport profile appears in player search. Public cards may show your name, photo, city, skill and optional age range. Signed-in members can see the permitted profile details. Private messages, personal notes and account contact settings are separate from public directory information. Review the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I stop SMS or marketing messages?

Change your notification and marketing preferences in account settings and use the unsubscribe controls in campaign emails. SMS depends on explicit consent and configured delivery. If you cannot access the account or a preference is not taking effect, contact support with the email address or phone number involved.

How do I close my account or request deletion?

Sign in and use the account-closure controls in your account settings. Closure disables access and hides player profiles; it does not automatically erase every shared conversation or competition record. For deletion, export or other privacy requests, contact support. This replaces the old My Tennis → Edit Profile → Delete Profile instructions.

Can I submit a forum discussion?

The public forum module is temporarily disabled. You can still read the Blog and contact support with a question or suggestion. Existing forum data is retained for administration.

How do I contact the team, report a problem or suggest a feature?

Use Contact Us. Include the page URL, what you expected and what happened. For account issues, use your account email. We respond within 1 business day. Do not include passwords, payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
